Tucked under Pen y Fan - there is a warm welcome waiting for you at Carno in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park

Carno is just over 2 miles as the crow flies from Pen y Fan - the highest mountain in the South of the British Islands!
75 minutes from the Severn Bridge and 90 minutes from Birmingham and Bristol.
Our oak beamed, lovingly restored 17th Century Farm House cottage & barns are comfortably furnished, well equipped & tastefully decorated. This accommodation is around a lovely Courtyard set in 5 acres of gardens, field and trees with direct access onto the mountains.

Each property sleeps 4 adults plus child and has 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), 2 bathrooms (one with shower fitment).

All are equipped with CTV, music centre, videos, classical CDs, records, books and games. There is a fully fitted oak kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, fridge/freezer, food processor and coffee filter machine. Full central heating, electricity and linen are included in the price.

Ty Carno Barn and Carno Bach are wheelchair accessible. Ty Carno has an electric controlled bath, bed and armchair. Carno Bach has a wheel-in downstairs shower.

There is a fantastic choice of activities in the area to suit people of all ages and interests.
You can 'cool out' and relax in our gardens, choose between strenuous mountain cycling or gently follow the Taff Cycle Trail!
Leave the car behind and walk the 3 to 10 peaks that make up the Beacons from your cottage door.
Play with your children around the garden or on the swings and slide or in the indoor heated pool (extra charge). Go for a walk in Carno Woods or along the Tarrell river.
Take them to the many places of interest for toddlers & yougsters like the Dan yr Ogof Caves, the Rope & Farm Activity Centres whilst the Gower coast is only 90 minutes away. We also have lots of castles to visit and you can pan for gold in the Roman Gold Mines.

Carno Uchaf is available for B & B in a private self-contained apartment for a minimum of 2 nights. The appartment sleeps 2 with a small sitting room, old stone spiral staircase to a large double bedroom and en-suite shower. Includes tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, microwave, and CTV.
